My Video Evaluation

For my Evaluation I decided to create a video where I filmed myself talking about my music video. I then created a website  to post my evaluation videos on. Sadly the main Mac in the media suit is broken which had resulted in my second half of my evaluation not being able to upload on Youtube as a result below is the link to the first half of my evaluation but my second half of my evaluation had to BE SAVED ON THE MEDA OFFICE MAC. IF MARKING PLEASE LOOK AT THE DESKTOP THE SECOND HALF IS MARKED AS 'claire dv' Thanks =] This meant that I have decided not to use the  evaluation website but instead post one half of my evaluation on Youtube and the other half on the  desktop of the media office Mac computer. Click below to see the first half of my evaluation.

Competition Websiteeeee

Today I added the wix website I created for my artist onto Mary Sand's Myspace page =]

There are 12 questions based on Mary Sands which if answered correctly and emailed to cbaker3@rbksch.org could make a lucky fan win £250 worth of highstreet shopping vouchers and a signed copy of Mary Sands album - Whipser in the Wind. There is a homepage which explains the competition with a link onto the competition page which then links back to the myspace.

Two music videos which inspired me =]

The top music video, 'Love story' by Taylor Swift is the music video which I have mentioned earlier in my research and analysis of a music video. I have decided to blog it and the other music video 'Slow' by Rumer to show the generic conventions which I tried to mirror in my music video. The use of 'golden time', the natural beauty of the artist, natures beauty, the innocent image the artist is portraying, the exaggerated fact that the music videos focus on the artists musical talent and the lack of voyeurism in these two music videos. These two videos greatly inspired me during the story-boarding planning, filming and the post production side of my music video.

Story Board and Annimatic with sound.

Above is my storyboard. ( As you can see I am terrible at art ) I shaded in the frames in brown and orange because these are the frames/clips which I would apply a sepia effect to. I created my annimatic with sound before I filmed my music video in order to visually predict what shots would work. It enabled me to see what angles I should take  whilst filming, it enabled me to play around with the order of the narrative and how I would edit and set out my music video. and it gave me an opportunity to experiment with the pace of  the different clips in regards to the music. Lastly by creating the simple annimatic with sound it motivated me and inspired me to film my music video.

Looking back at the annimatic after I had finished my music video i discovered that it was a brilliant starting point to base my ideas on. I changed the order of the clips from the 'past', 'present', and 'future', i also added a larger variety of angles to add interest and i also added more videoFX in the editing suit to differaniate the different time zones.

This is my Annimatic with sound below:
